The striking visuals for “Tales By Moonlight” feat. AMAARAE have been released by global music star TIWA SAVAGE. Cracker Mallo, a Nigerian producer, produced the song, which is taken from her critically acclaimed fifth studio album “WATER & GARRI,” which was released through Motown Records.Â
Tiwa collaborates with Ghanaian-American singer-songwriter Amaarae on “Tales By Moonlight.” Amaaarae, who was named a Beats 1 Breakout Star for 2020, adds her breathy soprano vocals to this soulful afro sound.

The video, directed by long-time collaborator Meji Alabi, features Tiwa and Amaarae in a sultry and sexy hyperreal bar where nothing is as it seems. Women are also seen late at night in a deserted neon gas station surrounded by men who are mesmerized in a trance.
“Tales By Moonlight,” which was released just in time for the holidays, is based on a children’s television show of the same name. The show took place in a village and featured an adult reading old folk tales and fairy tales to a group of young children. “On this song, I’m basically saying that I want to experience the fairytales with the happy endings that were in those stories – this is the kind of love that I want to feel,” she says. Tiwa adds her thoughts.
“Water & Garri” was released on August 20 and has already received over 65 million global streams. The album debuted at #1 on the Apple Music R&B album charts in Nigeria and received unprecedented critical acclaim worldwide. Tiwa has been nominated for several awards as a result of the project, including Best African Act at the UK MOBO Awards in 2021.
