The sequel to the 2020 mystery-drama starring Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill ‘Enola Holmes‘ has concluded filming, according to Netflix.
Netflix has disclosed that production on the planned sequel has officially been completed, with video from the set featuring Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge being uploaded on Twitter. Enola Holmes 2 has come to an end. This follows a piece of earlier news that Henry Cavill had completed his sequences as older brother Sherlock, and now filming is complete for all of the new and old cast members.
Netflix Geeked shared the following message: “The sequel to Enola Holmes is now complete! Enjoy this first hint to Enola’s next epic journey until it appears on Netflix…”
In the movie, Louis Partridge finishes his final part as Tewkesbury before hugging Brown, who is returning her role as Enola. Returning from the original Enola Holmes film are Cavill as Sherlock and Helena Bonham Carter as the family matriarch Eudora. David Thewlis, Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Hannah Dodd, Abbie Hern, Gabriel Tierney, and Serrana Su-Ling Bliss round out the cast.
Jack Thorne wrote and directed the original picture, which was directed by Harry Bradbeer. It was a huge success for Netflix, attracting viewers from 76 million homes in its first month. It was such a hit that reviewers and fans alike demanded that there be another case for the young and astute detective to solve. Netflix listened, and as a consequence, production began immediately. If this sequel exceeds its predecessor, an Enola Holmes trilogy may be in order.
Enola Holmes 2 does not yet have an official release date, although it is slated to come on Netflix in 2022. Meanwhile, the original Enola Holmes may be seen on Netflix.
