Portable, a Nigerian musician and rave of the moment, spoke on veteran rapper Jahbless’ podcast, Original Intelligence, a few days ago, and discussed some urgent problems.
Chief of which reflects on his breakup with event promoter Kogbagidi, who is known for collaborating with Bella Shmurda.
When Jahbless inquires about Portable’s connection with Kogbagidi, an excited Portable responds, “Kogbagidi always dey f*** up.” Why? I go tell am say boss, all these things I no like am. You know say me, I get [madness] already. But una go still dey do wetin [I no like]…
“Poco Lee tell Kogbagidi say, ‘Boss, all these things wey this boy dey talk, you no tell me naw.’ I tell [Kogbagidi] say person dey offend me. I tell am say [Poco] dey vex me, e no answer me, until I wicked [Poco]. Na rubbish nw. Because of wetin you wan chop.”
He ended his act by saying that Olamide then asked Kogbagidi if Portable hadn’t stated his concerns before the legendary rapper settled the problem. He further claims that Ijoba Danku, a close friend of Kogbagidi’s, is now his manager. He believes Danku had a role in resolving his conflict with Kogbagidi.
What’s the issue between portable, kogbadigi and pocolee?
Portable took to his TikTok account on December 21, 2021, to voice his discontent with famed dancer Poco Lee’s involvement with his hit song, ‘Zazoo Zeh.’
He was upset that Poco Lee had the rights to his music. The record is attributed to ‘Poco Lee X Portable X Olamide’ on most streaming services. Portable was unhappy that Poco Lee’s name appears first on the record, not his.
He further stated that when Olamide invited him to play ‘Zazoo Zehh’ at the Livespot Festival, Wizkid sprayed him $3000, but Poco Lee only gave him $600.
A few hours later, Kogbagidi, who manages the affairs of Nigerian artist Portable, came to Instagram to share a video of himself throwing the singer out of his residence and allegedly terminating relations with the musician.
Nigerian superstars such as Olamide, Yomi Fabiyi, Slimcase, and others begged him to pardon his erring ward.
Future of portable music career
Danku, according to Portable, now does what Kogbagidi used to do for him: discover shows for him. However, he maintains that Ege Foreign is his manager. He also adds that his appetite means he is prepared to produce three albums this year, if at all possible.
