Unstoppable Aribo continues impressive form

Joe Aribo has been described by Rangers fans as the best player for the club and midfielder in the Scottish league this season and by some distance and nobody can blame them.

The Super Eagles midfielder is in an unstoppable form and highlighted that with his second goal in as many consecutive matches for Rangers at the weekend.

With his side leading 1-0, Aribo controlled a lovely pass from Connor Goldson with a first touch that Zinedine Zidane would be proud of before putting past the goalkeeper with an even better finish to double their advantage at half time.

The goal, which turned out to be the winner in a 0-2 win at Hearts on Sunday, was the sixth of the season for the 25-year-old, who has now scored more goals than any Rangers player this season in the Scottish league.

Meanwhile, Aribo’s compatriot, Calvin Bassey, was impressive in the same match at the heart of Rangers defense as he helped the club to another clean sheet.

He was impeccable with his distribution from the back as he completed 100% of his passes, which included three of three long balls, won one tackle, made one interception and two recoveries in what was his 11th game of the season for the Gers.

Emmanuel Dennis the menace scores again for Watford, Ndidi brilliant for Leicester

The 24-year-old, who played all 90 minutes at the King Power, was the only Nigerian on the pitch as Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman missed the tie due to COVID-19.
